Before scheduling a first session, we can discuss musical preferences, special events, and other personal details during an intake interview so that I can prepare familiar and cherished songs.

I have a large repertoire and can easily empathize with any situation. I am friendly, calm, patient, and certainly enjoy a good joke. One of my hobbies is history, which allows me to easily converse about the past. This greatly aids in recalling memories and fosters pleasant, connecting conversations during the sessions.

An individual singing session typically lasts one hour and begins with a fixed welcome song. In a relaxed atmosphere, we sing songs from the past, and for each session, we assess what your loved one needs at that moment. Nostalgia, comfort, or energy—anything is possible and allowed, and we have the right music ready for every mood.

The song lyrics are printed on paper in a large, easily readable font, and each new song is added to the personal music folder that I create at the start of the first session. This naturally builds a repertoire that can be used not only during the sessions but also at other times with family and/or informal caregivers.

Of course, not only singing takes place during a session; there is also ample room for conversations or silences—anything that helps activate the brain and provides your loved one with pleasant moments.

In addition to individual singing sessions, I also provide sessions for smaller groups of approximately 10 participants. This is ideal for small-scale care institutions and care farms, among others. During these sessions, I usually play the guitar and use light sound amplification to ensure I am clearly audible. Sing-alongs and interaction are also paramount in these group sessions.

During the introductory meeting, we will also discuss business matters. After this initial meeting, we will schedule a free intake session with your loved one. If it is then decided to proceed with regular sessions (I recommend once every 2 or 3 weeks), I will draw up an agreement. After signing, we will schedule a first session during which you will also receive the music folder with the initial basic repertoire. The cost per individual singing session is 75 euros (incl. VAT), for which you will receive an invoice afterward.
